Jonathan has been traveling to various nations for the last few years, training leaders and leading evangelism and church planting teams. He's seen more than 100,000 come to faith in Christ, and hundreds of new churches and Christian groups started. Currently, his short-term campaigns are focused in the Philippines, Russia, South Asia, and East Africa.
Jonathan is passionate about bringing people to Christ and making disciples in many regions of the world. Through his work in SPAN, he wants to see 'people' movements to Christ and 'church planting' movements so that Christ can be worshipped "in every village."
Since 1970, he has pastored churches in the United States. He currently pastors a church in Malibu, California, USA.
Jonathan lives with his wife, Cathy, in Santa Rosa, California. His five grown children live in various locales around the United States. Currently there are twelve grandchildren.
Paul's goal is to serve and obey the Lord. Paul has worked with the Haiti Lutheran Ministry and Mission Fund activities for 16 years.He has joined CMC International to lead fundraising activities and travel to foreign countries as a team member on the outreaches. He also continues to serve in prison ministry with Bill Glass Champions for Life.
He also assists with the support, schooling, and mentoring of two of his precious daughters, Robin and Hollie. Their welfare is a priority in his life. In 2009 he has been called to be "Mr. Mom" to them. In addition, he is always there for his sons Logan and Brandon, to help, mentor and counsel them…and sometimes to just hang out with them.
Paul has the gift of giving and has been blessed financially in such a way that allows him to give. A favorite verse is 2Corinthians 9:8 – "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
Pastor Powell Lemons
Pastor Powell Lemons has been taking evangelism teams into the Philippines for many years, working with interdenominational groups of pastors and leaders. He oversees organizaing the visting American team schedule for CMC outreach concerts in the Country.
Jeff & Zina Bell
Jeff and Zina have traveled with Pastor Jonathan in Africa and Asia. They have led teams to Uganda and Ethiopia effectively for years. They also help with recruiting and training in our California setting. They have a heart to mobilize American Christians, and always be an encouragement to our overseas brothers and sisters. Jeff and Zina live in Thousand Oaks California and have grown children.
Marcy and Paul Babor
Paul and Marcy met when Marcy came to the Philippines for a short term mission. Later they married. Marcy and Paul actively developed the CMC pastor organizations in the Visayas region. More recently, they have developed CMC work in Myanmar and Nepal. They also oversee an internship program in Cebu, Philippines where young people from the US participate in Asian outreaches for a few months or longer learning all facets of mission activity. They have three young children and make their home in Compostela, Cebu, Philippines.
Pastor Jill left his role in management with Philippine Steel corporation to preach the gospel and lead teams in church planting all over the Philippines. Since 1999 Jill along with his wife, Luz, have organized outreaches and pastors networks. Now, Pastor Jill overseas CMC's work in Asia. The CMC model for pastors coalitions was adapted when Jill and Jonathan Morris went to India, met Samuel Stephans of India, and learned how pastors coalitions could be used for church planting all over the world. Jill and Luz live in Compostela, Cebu, Philippines. They have 3 grown children.
Pastor Victor Chong Chavez was led to leave his primary career as an urban development architect to preach the gospel of Christ in Ecuador and surrounding nations. He tirelessly trains pastors and leaders to effectively evangelize, make Disciples of Christ and plant churches. He travels throughout the year, mostly developing work with CMC in Latin America and Caribbean nations. Victor lives with his wife Betty in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Godfrey has a heart for rural evangelism in various tribal areas of Uganda and numerous surrounding nations of Africa. He works continually to create working teams of leaders from many backgrounds and mobilizes them strategically to evangelize and plant churches all over Africa. Godfrey lives with his wife, Edith, and twelve children in Kampala, Uganda.
Mezgebu became a Christ follower while a university student and then a leader in the emerging "Emmanuel" movement. He travels all over Ethiopia and other African nations organizing CMC pastors networks and leading evangelism outreaches. He lives with his wife, Nigist, in Addis Ababa along with their three children. Mezgebu strongly feels that this is "God's time" for his nation and boldly promotes the cause of Christ, unity among believers, and the priority of great commission evangelism and discipleship.
