Ethiopia Joins CMC

Santa Rosa, California - In a whirlwind week in Addis Ababa and Gunchire, Ethiopia, a team of 14 people representing 5 countries met with dozens of pastors andover 1,200 fellow Christ-followers in two conferences that could be the start of a new movement of church multiplication across a country that is experiencing aggressive penetration from the islamic religion. Ethiopia is widely regarded as the first country to receive the gospel message nearly 2000 years ago, as apostle Philip explained the meaning of scriptures, foretelling the coming of the messiah, to an Ethiopian eunuch.

Uganda Expands the Number Churches

Santa Rosa, California - a team of 14 from 5 countries traveled to two regions in Uganda and successfully helped local pastors initiate 4 new churches in the Kayunga and Kapchorwa districts.

Bolkolwa village in the Kayunga district, was the first recipient, with the eager participation of local churches. 1000 villages attended an evening outreach crusade, and were entertained with worship music, and heard the message of the coming of the kingdom of God. at least 100 made a decision to turn their lives over to Christ that evening, and roughly 100 others received prayer for healing. The village chief also made a public decision for Christ, and immediately ordered that his general store dump all alcoholic beverages, eliminating from the stores inventory.

In the Kapchorwa district in eastern Uganda, three more churches were planted in villages on the fertile slopes of Mt. Elgon. over 300 heard the gospel message, and over 100 men, women and children acknowledged their desire to receive Christ at three evening outreach crusades. During the daytime, the team visited a hospital, a prison and several schools, bringing the gospel message to nearly 4,000 more people, with many deciding for Christ.

CMC Announces the fFrst African Continental CMC Conference

Santa Rosa, California - On January 13, 2010, CMC International will host it first-ever African Continental Conference with participants from several African nations. Pastors will be attending to learn more about the CMC vision, discuss opportunities, and make plans to bring the message of the Kingdom of God to the villages of their nation.

Pastors Muesige Saazi Godfrey of GOMU/CMC in Uganda, and Pastor Mezgebu Tsemru of CMC Ethiopia are planning the conference. The conference will be held in Kampala January 14-17, 2010 (location to be announced). Jonathan Morris, founder and President of CMC INternational will be present as a key speaker, and will be conveying the vision of CMC.
