“Among the people who received Jesus as their Savior is one who tried to kill the evangelist a few years back because of his faith. Today he gave his life for Christ…praise God!”
– Pastor Mezgebu Tsemru, CMC Leader for Ethiopia
Ministry Highlights From July & August
The largest outreach missions in the history of Ethiopia!
500 Christian workers were divided into teams that went to 14 of the 16 unreached people groups in more than 100 villages of Ethiopia’s South Omo area. They preached the gospel through one to one evangelism. The reports of mighty signs and wonders among them were amazing. The lame walk, the blind see, and many are now delivered from dark influences and brought to salvation in Christ.
- 2-week outreach to unreached tribes
- 300 passionate university students came from all over Ethiopia
- 200 local missionaries and ministers joined them
- 300 Bibles were provided for the bush churches
- 200 Evangecubes were used as visual tools to share the gospel
Evangelism in the Village of Gisma
A team of 4 missionaries evangelized the village of Gisma which included a visit to the king of that region. Then they drove all through the bush, stopping at any small group of huts or people sitting under a tree, and shared the love of Christ.
Church Leadership Training
Two days were spent ministering to 500 pastors and leaders from many denominations. One pastor commented that his “life will never be the same” and that he “couldn’t wait to get alone on his face with God concerning the things the Holy Spirit spoke to him in the meeting.” |
